Weekend Workshop: Dresses!

Done making pajama pants and tote bags? It's time to make yourself a new dress! In this full-day workshop, you will learn to:

  • Accurately measure yourself to determine size
  • Properly arrange and cut your pattern pieces
  • (Eat your packed lunch)
  • Read standard pattern language
  • Assemble the dress!

Picking Your Dress Pattern:
Please make sure your dress pattern meets the following criteria:

  • No more than 6 Pattern Pieces
  • No buttons (only for time, as buttonholes can be tedious)
  • Class is focused on learning: Darts, Zippers, Neck Binding, Jersey Knits - all of these features are encouraged!

Colette Patterns: Laurel, Kennedy, Mesa, Wren, Moneta
Sew Caroline Patterns: Out & About, Downtown Tunic, Picnic Skirt, Tank Dress
Christine Haynes Patterns: Marianne Dress
Jamie Christina: Mission Maxi Dress

Homework Before Class:
1.) Pre-wash your fabric so your dress doesn't shrink when you wash it!
2.) Pack a lunch!

Any Intermediate Sewing Class

DURATION:
5 Hours (With a 30 minute break for Lunch)

AGE REQUIREMENTS: 15 years and older.
